Two Postdoctoral Research Positions are Available at
Mitochondrial Diagnostics and Research Laboratories
Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Molecular and Human Genetics
The candidate should hold a Ph. D. and/or M.D. degree in Molecular
Genetics, Cell Biology, or Biochemistry.
1. Mitochondrial Diagnostics Clinical Research: To perform research
and development of new molecular and biochemical assays, next
generation sequencing technologies, and novel approaches to the
diagnosis of mitochondrial disorders.
2. Mitochondrial Research Laboratory: To investigate the mechanism of
mitochondria-nucleus cross-talks in disease and cancer using
transmitochondrial cybrid system with the application of molecular and
cellular techniques. We focus on how mitochondria are regulating the
re-programming of energy metabolism in cancer.
