Post-doctoral positions are available at the newly established
Mitochondria and Metabolism Center at University of Washington Seattle
to investigate the mechanistic role of mitochondrial dysfunction in
the development of ischemia/reperfusion injury, cardiac hypertrophy
and heart failure. These research projects are funded by multiple NIH
grants and utilize cellular and molecular biology tools, genetically
engineered mouse models, NMR spectroscopy and imaging approaches. We
seek highly motivated individuals with a PhD, MD/PhD or DVM/PhD
degree, a solid publication record and excellent writing and oral
communication skills. Experiences in cardiac physiology, molecular
biology and genetics or biochemistry are preferred but not required.
