We are a young, dynamic group which is integrated in an excellent,
collaborative and international scientific environment at the
University of Cologne (Center of Molecular Medicine, Excellence
Cluster for Aging research - CECAD). To complement our team, we are
looking for a highly motivated and qualified
Postdoctoral fellow
(Ph.D. in biochemistry or biology)
with an interest in molecular basis and defects in cellular metabolism
and development of novel therapeutic approach. Successful
applicants should have a technical and conceptual background in the
analysis of mitochondrial function as well as a solid background
in cellular and molecular biology and/or biochemistry.
The ability to work independently is essential.
Expertise in mouse genetics and cell culture is desirable, but not
necessary. Funding through the Emmy-Noether-Program of the
German Research Society is initially available for 3 years.
