Subject: Register now: Better Biology with Bioinformatics, 9 - 11 November 2011
Dear teacher,
On 9 - 11 November 2011, the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridgeshire, UK will host a European Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences (ELLS):
Better Biology with Bioinformatics
ELLS LearningLABs bring together scientists and teachers for three days of hands-on workshops. This LearningLAB features interactive talks and activities focusing on bioinformatics. Bioinformatics allows us to store and analyse data from biological experiments, which is essential for advances in health, agriculture, aquaculture, and biodiversity. We will explore bioinformatics through the lens of malaria, an infectious disease that affects millions of people worldwide. A programme for the course is below.
Please feel free to forward this email and poster to your colleagues. Some bursaries are available, and we encourage you to register early at http://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/onsite/111109_ELLS.html.
The registration deadline is midday on 16 September 2011.
Kind regards,
Mary Todd Bergman
