Save the Date – HFSP Science Summit Japan 2025

1–4 October 2025 | Sendai · Tokyo · Kyoto

Dear colleague,

 

The International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO), together with its Japanese partners - Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT); Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI); Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED); The University of Tokyo; Tohoku University; RIKEN and Kyoto University - is organizing the HFSP Science Summit Japan 2025.

 

This four-day event will bring together Nobel Laureates, HFSP Nakasone Award winners, and early-career researchers to discuss frontier science, international collaboration, and the conditions that enable breakthrough discoveries.

 

We look forward to welcoming participants from across Japan and the international HFSP community.

The central event of the Summit will take place at the University of Tokyo. It will feature international perspectives on frontier science, policy dialogues, and reflections on Japan’s role in supporting high-risk, discovery-driven research.
