Greetings and wishes!!!

 

The Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology (CoEB) was established in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore with the support of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The main objective of setting up this facility is to provide high-end laboratories and industrial parks to the researchers, innovators, industries etc., towards development of innovative products and technologies. The instrument facility has already been established to cater to high end research on genomics, proteomics and metabolomics.

 

Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology will conduct in Hands on Training in Innovative Solutions for Protein Characterization: “MALDI TOF- MS” during September 25^th - 27^th, 2023 (Three days) at UG Lecture Hall – 1, CPMB&B, TNAU, Coimbatore.

 

MALDI-TOF MS is one of the most advanced proteomics facilities for protein discovery and helps Plant breeders in selecting suitable cultivars through biological markers under diverse biotic and abiotic stresses and different developmental stages. It provides precise, quick, easy and comprehensive information on novel proteins. The training program has been designed to provide basics of MALDI TOF, its software and hardware and hands on experience on sample preparation, analysis and data interpretation.

 

The programme intends to impart hands on training to the participants on basics of MALDI TOF, sample preparation and analysis, interpretation of analysed data etc.

 

The participants include faculty/scientists and students of PG, PhD from TNAU and other institutions of national level from Life Science stream. The registration fee is Rs.4,000/- +18 % GST per participant.
