Subject: Research Fellowship Opportunity in Public Health Intelligence
To:

IPSN, WHO is pleased to share an exciting fellowship opportunity from the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence and the Charité Center for Global Health (CCGH) in Public Health Intelligence.

This fellowship invites mid- and senior-career academic researchers to spend 5–6 months in Berlin working on priority research areas that advance pandemic and epidemic preparedness, including artificial intelligence and technological advances, data preparedness, analytical frameworks, and multi-sectoral approaches.

We would particularly welcome and encourage applications focused on pathogen genomics, including research that strengthens genomic surveillance implementation including bioinformatics and data sharing, and the integration of genomic data into public health decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the evidence base and innovation agenda that underpins equitable global pathogen surveillance.

The application deadline is 3 March 2026.

You can find more information and apply here:

Please feel free to share this opportunity with colleagues and networks who may be interested.

We look forward to seeing strong representation from the IPSN community.

Kind regards,
IPSN Secretariat
