The 2013 Medical Informatics World Conference will bring together industry leaders and decision makers in the fields of HIT, healthcare, biomedical sciences, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, informatics and IT. Our opening keynotes on Day 1, Monday morning are 1) John Halamka, M.D., MS, CIO, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 2) Lonny Reisman, M.D., Senior Vice President, CMO, Aetna and 3) Sandy Aronson, Executive Director, IT, Partners HealthCare Center for Personalized Genetic Medicine. They will discuss the deployment of IT to connect patients, providers and payers.
 
The keynotes on Tuesday, Day 2 will discuss leveraging IT to improve outcomes and will be delivered by 1) Andrew J. Lang, Senior Vice President and CIO, WellPoint, and 2) Mark Davies, M.D., Executive Medical Director, Health & Social Care Information Centre, National Health Service.
 
The conference features three major tracks on: 1) Provider-Payer-Pharma Cross-Industry Data Collaboration, 2) Coordinated Patient Care, Engagement and Empowerment and 3) Population Health Management, Segmentation and Stratification. Each of the three conference tracks will feature best practice case studies and interactive discussions relevant to HIT experts as well as those new to the field.
 
Tuesday afternoon features Special Short Courses on: 1) Advancing the Use of EHR/EMR for Clinical Research and Drug Development, 2) Cloud Computing in Hospital Data Management and Integration, and 3) Software for Clinical Genomics.
