It is our great pleasure to announce you the International conference on International Work-Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering (IWBBIO 2022), which will take place in Gran Canaria (Spain) in June 27th-30th, 2022. The conference will be devoted to current researches in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedicine and Bioengineering, including the following topics (but not limited to):
1. TRANSLATIONAL AND INTEGRATIVE BIOINFORMATICS.
2. NEXT GENERATION SEQUENCING AND SEQUENCE ANALYSIS
De novo sequencing, re-sequencing and assembly, Expression estimation, Alternative splicing discovery, Pathway Analysis, Chip-seq and RNA-Seq analysis, Metagenomics, SNPs prediction, etc.
3. HIGH PERFORMANCE IN BIOINFORMATICS
Parallelization for biomedical analysis, Biomedical and biological databases, Data mining and biological text processing, Large scale biomedical data integration, Biological and medical ontologies, Novel architecture and technologies (GPU, P2P, Grid,...) for Bioinformatics.
4. COMPUTATIONAL SYSTEMS FOR MODELLING BIOLOGICAL PROCESSES
Inference of biological networks, Machine learning in Bioinformatics, Classification for biomedical data, Microarray Data Analysis, Simulation and visualization of biological systems, Molecular evolution and phylogenetic modelling.
5. COMPUTATIONAL PROTEOMICS
Analysis of protein-protein interactions, Protein structure modelling, Analysis of protein functionality, Quantitative proteomics and PTMs, Clinical proteomics, Protein annotation, Data mining in proteomics.
6. BIOMEDICINE AND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
Personalized medicine, Biomedical signal/image analysis, Computer-assisted surgery, Therapeutic engineering, Interactive 3D modelling, Clinical engineering, Telemedicine, Biosensors and data acquisition, Patient Monitoring, Biomedical robotics, Bio-nanotechnology, Genetic engineering.
7. HEALTHCARE AND DISEASES
Computational support for clinical decisions, Image visualization and signal analysis, Disease control and diagnosis, Genome-phenome analysis, Biomarker identification, Drug design, Computational immunology.
8.- COVID
A special session will be organized in which different aspects, fields of application and technologies that have been applied against COVID-19 are analyzed.
We encourage you to submit paper focused on interesting, relevant and original works that are related to these subjects.

Full paper and abstract contributions are welcome.
Full Paper Contributions
Submissions should be around 12 pages in Springer LNBI format, and they will be accomplished through the easychair platform in PDF format. Accepted full-papers will be published as Springer LNBI proceedings.
Abstract Contributions
Abstract submissions are also accepted (at least two pages in LNBI format). Abstracts must be submitted directly in the EasyChair platform. Once they have been accepted, a selection of high quality abstracts can be extended before final papers submission deadline as full paper. Authors of accepted abstract should contact, by email to iwb...@ugr.es, indicating their interest in completing the extension to full paper.
SPECIAL ISSUES
A list of papers with very high quality will be selected to be extended and submitted in different special issues (more information in the web page of the conference).
