Dear Prashanth Suravajhala,

International Bacteriophage Research Consortium (IBRC) & Open Source Pharma Foundation (OSPF) in association with the Indian Society for Bacteriophage Research and Therapy (SBRT) announce a series of talks by clinicians with experience in delivering Phage Therapy. This series is being initiated during World Antibiotic Awareness Week (WAAW2023), an annual global initiative to create awareness about the antibiotic resistance crisis and to promote antibiotic stewardship. Through these talks, we aim to provide insights into the latest developments, challenges, and successful case studies and stories of phage therapy. We believe these talks will deepen understanding of phage therapy amongst clinicians, researchers, and regulatory bodies and spark valuable discussions on its potential impact on the future of managing antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections.

The first talk in the series is by Dr Gina Suh, an Infectious Diseases specialist with expertise in Orthopedic Infectious Diseases and Soft Tissue Infections. She treated the Mayo Clinic’s first phage therapy patients and is heading efforts to create the Mayo Clinic Phage Therapy Program and run phage clinical trials.

Your presence will contribute to the success of this event, and we look forward to your participation. Please find the poster and the registration link.

The talk will be held on Thursday, 23 November, 2023 at 5 pm IST/5.30 CST. For registration, please click on the "Register for the event" button below.
