Dear All,

   We wish you a Happy and a Prosperous New Year.

As you are aware, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI launched the D.E.S.I.G.N for BioE3 Challenge, a year-long challenge started on 1st November 2025.

In the December’2025 window of the challenge, we have received 560 proposalsunder category 2 of the challenge from across the country. Out of 560 proposals, 100 startupshave applied. We sincerely thank all of you for supporting this unique challenge. We hope that the number of applications from Startups will go up to atleast 1000 in the January 2026 of the Challenge.

Participants are expected to display their basic understanding of the BioE3 Policy and its possible implementation through imaginative, creative and concise ideas towards a sustainable, clean, and self-reliant future for our country.

 

Prizes on Offer

Category 2:

•           Top 10 winning solutions will receive Rs 1.00 Lakh each (1st Round) every month for the next 12 months

•           Up to 100 grants with upper limit of INR 25 lakh each to help winners convert their Design ideas to real-world solutions through Round 2

The January 2026 Window is open now and we request you to hurry up and apply well before the closing date which is 20th January 2026
