Call for Nominations: The Bioclues Innovation, Research and Development (BIRD) awards for 2026 are now open. The deadline is August 2, 2026, 1800 hrs IST!
We initiated the Bioclues Innovation, Research and Development (BIRD) awards in 2011 to encourage bioinformaticists and Genomicists in India who have made outstanding contributions in Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics. This award recognizes not just academicians but also scientists who have shown exemplary excellence in Bioinformatics. While scientists working for not-for-profit organizations will be given importance, those working for commercial organizations are equally exceptional if their research has been widely honored and made longstanding contributions. The award selection is highly competitive, involving several rounds of interviews. The awardee will receive a plaque and a citation with a certificate. The awardee will also be invited to join the Bioclues Executive Team (BET) of the Bioclues society. The call for nominations covers two categories:
- He or She is under 40 years old on or before December 31st of the current nomination year
- He or she is under 50 years old on or before December 31st of the current nomination year
