Dear All,

I am participating in the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Conference of Parties 11th, being held in Hyderabad, India (my own place) from 8th to 19th October 2012. The participants are from 193 countries. There is a need of information to show how biochar leads to conservation / sustenance of biodiversity. The microbial biodiversity and density increase, is one of the unique contributions of biochar. I am thinking on how to present biochar relevance to biodiversity to the participants. If there is any published information or thoughts please share.

------
COP11 is the first meeting of the Parties in the UN Decade for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the first since the adoption of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and its twenty Aichi Targets.
COP11 thus presents a good opportunity to take stock of progress made since the Nagoya COP in 2010 and advancement in the implementation of its decisions.
