Dear All,

Recently I had been to parts of Uttarakhand - Khatgodam - Almora - Berinag. I have designed a simple Biochar TLUD Kiln and made observations on how the local communities are adding biochar to the fields traditionally. It is interesting to see that they spread pine needles in the harvested field and burn it along with the crop residue. This process is producing biochar and ash for the fields. The local community is well aware about good aspects of this process being followed traditionally. For more details see
And also designed some stoves during the visit and trained the local community.
Mr. Mangesh Hoskote and Mr. Rajnishji, AVANI are on this list, I am thankful for their support during the visit. I request them to add their comments. I am also thankful to Matajis of Sarada Mutt,Almora for their love and support.

Dear Dr Reddy,

Congratulations! The Holy Mother Biochar Kiln attracted my attention.
I'd like to try it in my backyard in Mexico next winter. My family has all the materials required and plenty of tree branches.
I may contact you then.
Thank you,

Ruy
