Just letting you know that the RFI for low-carbon fuels went live this morning.

The link is here: https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tender-notice/PW-HL-675-78874.  (Note that the delivery date will be removed/changed as it defaulted to the posting date)

The closing date is Aug 12, 2020 for the first round of comments; we will then leave it up for an additional 6 months or so to allow for additional input. Fingers crossed that we receive a strong, positive response.

The RFI is being circulated by PSPC to their list of relevant suppliers, and NRCan’s OERD has also circulated it to a list of key stakeholders (the email below). There is no press release but TBS communications have tweeted about it today and will send a follow up on Thursday. Feel free to promote the tweet below and/or the email below to your networks:

Le français suit…

  Good Morning/Afternoon,

In keeping with the commitment to transition to low-carbon and climate-resilient operations, by exploring options for reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, the Government of Canada is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Information (RFI).

The RFI seeks to engage industry, through consultation, on its interest, capacity and ability to supply and deliver the requirements of providing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable marine fuel with low-carbon-intensity liquid fuels from renewable feedstocks for the Government of Canada’s air and marine fleets.

Fuel suppliers and renewable fuels producers are encouraged to visit the Buy and Sell website to access the RFI as well as for more information on the RFI process and how you can share your expertise.

  Thank you,

Bonjour,

  Merci,
