Anyone mind if I reboot bio.cc?

Cheers,
Dan.

OK, I decided to be bold... seems to be back up. Let me know if you
find any problems.

I was thinking to migrate from php (5.1) to php53 (5.3). Is this
likely to cause serious problems?

Cheers,
Dan.

Not sure, but I think it's OK.
Have you checked any mediawiki & php53 compatibility issue?

I think most of BioCC-hosted mediawiki (including biocc) are based on
mw1.8.2, which does not seem to compatible with php5.3?
Can you make a roll-back position for php?

Cool!

What's that?

For newer MWs, we have the option of running MW in CGI mode through
something like nginx (with FastCGI) with a custom PHP build (including
FPM)... For the time being I'm just sticking to MW1.16, which works
for php 5.1.

Another option is to deploy virtual servers, but it's too late (in the
evening) to read about that ;-) In general I like the idea though.

I guess we need to found a country (or a business?) on the principles
of 'do what you like' :-)

Hi,

is really good. That is what I have always asked people
to do: Purpose orientation.

Do things for the pure original purpose of it.

Thanks Dan.
