For 'group chat', how about we meet on IRC?

I'm proposing irc://irc.freenode.net/#BiO.CC

I've been lurking in the SGN's group chat for a few months... they
handle all group business through IRC because they work in different
places. Seems to be working for them.

Yup, for freenode there is this, which is quick and dirty:

However, for stability I use irssi within a screen terminal on bifx.org.
