fortify phylo objects

I'm trying to display subtrees as triangles using this code from Jean Manguy: https://jean.manguy.eu/post/subtrees-as-triangles-with-ggtree/

These scripts use ggtree::fortify(), but I'm now getting errors because I believe fortify() has been depreciated. I know some of this functionality has been moved over to tidytree, but is there a simple way to access the old ggtree::fortify() method, or maybe a simple tidytree swap that will allow these scripts to run.
