Biochemical Assays: It is an in vitro format used to measure the
activity of a biological macromolecule (protein or nucleic acid). It
is most often a homogeneous assay type, but can be heterogeneous if
solid phase such as beads are used to immobilize the macromolecule.
Are there any other biochemical assays than ones that target protein
(i.e. nucleic acid or others (biochemical implying purified target
molecule / component)?
