Hello,
This is Dhiwakar pursuing 3rd year of Bachelor of Technology from NIT, Trichy, India. I am really excited about taking part in GSOC 2014!

To put things straight, this is my skill set.

Languages              :    C, C++, Java (for Android), PHP, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL, HTML.
Packages               :   Eclipse IDE, Android SDK, Xcode, Aptana Studio 3, Git.
Frameworks            :   CodeIgniter.
Cloud Platforms       :   Google Cloud Messaging, Amazon Web Services (SNS, SQS and DynamoDB).

I already have the experience of building a distributed push notification system for Optmyzr,Inc.(winter Internship) with mobile front (Android) and backend hosted in the cloud. I used SNS (Simple Notification System), SQS (Simple Queue System) and DynamoDB (NoSQL database) of the Amazon Web Sevices. Google Cloud Messenger (GCM) was also used. This system is soon going to be used by hundreds of International clients of Optmyzr, Inc.

I have attached a pdf document which illustrates the detailed process flow of the project I completed. Having already worked on this, I am excited to jump in and explore more features of AWS and related technologies by building software for bio4j! I can't wait to start working on this!

I request the mentors of AWS related projects to guide me where to start with and I would like to have a detailed description of the project requirements.
Hoping to have a great time with bio4j! :)

Hi Dhiwakar,

Great to hear about your interest in Bio4j ;)

I just had a quick look at the presentation you attached and of course any previous experience working with AWS is important if you were to be selected for an AWS-related project.

Did you already check out the ideas page
Any specific idea you'd rather participate in?

Cheers,

Pablo
