Dear Julia,
For booking a room for the teach in on Sept. 27th, can you do that tomorrow? (I remember we have decided that it was going to be at 6.00 pm, but if we want to re-discuss the time, maybe you can book it from 6pm to 8 pm?)
If we know the location for sure during the meeting in the evening, we can organize the canvassing or advertising starting from the following day, Friday, so that we will have a couple days before the event to work on getting the word out.
Comradely,
Kaan Evren Basaran

Hi guys,
Here are the notes from yesterday's meeting-
Possible actions for the upcoming semester:
-Teach-in Thursday Sept. 27th at 6 or 7: Kaan will be organizing; solidarity with the Chicago teachers' strike. GSEU Members speaking, NYSR Members, James Parisot
-Film Screenings: Beginning and end of October (tentatively), Possible films:
"The Crisis of Civilization" - Nefis Ahmed
"The Spook Who Sat By The Door" -- Contact BSU, LASU, JUMP
-October 18th NYSR Action, details forthcoming
-November 7th-- Red Flag Planting, demonstration/Internationalist presence... e-board will look into SA protocol.
Publications:
-NYSR Times and possibly EMO Zine first editions of the semester should probably be out before the movie viewing the first/second week of October. We already have a few NYSR Times articles from last semester, so that shouldn't be too difficult to pull together. EMO Zine might be more difficult, discuss at next meeting and get commitments from interested members to write
-If NYSR Times can be together for distribution before Sept 27th teach-in that would be even better
R25 username and password obtained for booking rooms, once the Time/Date/Location for the teach-in is concrete I can book a lecture hall
Pending treasurer certification approval, we should be able to access the budget after the long weekend
Next Meeting: Thursday 9/20 at 7 pm, UUW B07
Have a good weekend!
Julia
