Kishore Kumar won his 7th Best Male Playback Singer. Kumar was only singer nominated for that year for four songs from this album: "De De Pyar De", "Inteha Ho Gayi Intezar Ki", "Log Kehte Hain" and won for the song "Manzilen Apni Jagah Hain".
Many of his songs are acoustic rock, andalusian chords, soul music and oud type songs, blended with Israeli folk, Judeo-Yemenite and Pop overtones. He has included the recitation of poems by Shalom Shabazi in his albums.
Chaalbaaz is a remake of Seeta Aur Geeta, yes? So I should watch it for that if nothing else. Sridevi is hilarious. And I thought of the Sharaabi thing, but limited it to one of the songs although they are all lots of fun.
Almost all of us know that alcohol is bad for health, but then too it is consumed in large quantities all around the world. In India, it has found mention in ancient scriptures also. Indian Cinema is replete with depiction and mention of alcohol as - sharaab, daaru, whiskey, vodka etc. There have been movies made with alcohol as subject viz. Devdas, Sharabi etc. which have been massive hits.

Similarly, hundreds of songs have been written and composed to glorify alcohol or depict a situation - sadness, party, celebration etc.
Pop-Culture has been instrumental in commercializing alcohol based songs and they have been a massive success. I have compiled here a list of 50 songs which have been popular and commercially successful. I hope the readers would listen to them and enjoy.
