  בואו לצעדת השרמוטות!

 

Tel Aviv Slutwalk 2013 is on its way! April 5, 11:30 am Rabin square	Slutwalk is an international movement that began in 2011 in Toronto, Canada, after a police officer warned women at York University that they "should avoid dressing like sluts" if they wanted to avoid being raped, assaulted or harassed. The organizers of the first  walk decided it was time to put an end to rape, victim blaming, rape apology, and other forms of sexual violence; that women have a right to their own sexuality, to make decisions about their bodies, to dress as they please – and to still be safe from violence.   We are marching on April 5th, 2013, in Tel Aviv for the second time – dressed any way we please – in acknowledgement that rape culture is alive and kicking, and that it affects each of us, from every walk of life, from every religion, race, and ethnicity, of any sexual orientation and all gender identities… Fully aware that some women experience double and triple oppressions, which we are attempting to give voice to in our campaign and in the march.   Details can be found in the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/536763466363949 or contact: tsipi...@gmail.com     צעדת השרמוטות (slutwalk) היא תנועה בינלאומית שהחלה  ב-2011 בטורונטו, קנדה, לאחר ששוטר – במסגרת פעילות למניעת אלימות מינית באוניברסיטה – הזהיר נשים "שלא יתלבשו כמו שרמוטות" אם אין ברצונן להיאנס. המארגנות של הצעדה הראשונה גמרו בליבן שהגיע הזמן לשים קץ להאשמת הקרבן ול-slutshaming שהחברה עושה לנשים מעצם היותן נשים, בעלות מיניות, אשר רוצות שליטה על מה הן לובשות, ובבחירות שלהן לגבי גופן.   אנו צועדות זו הפעם השנייה בתל אביב – לבושות איך שטוב לנו – מתוך הכרה שתרבות האונס חיה ובועטת, ומשפיעה על כל אחת מאתנו, ללא הבדל במעמד כלכלי, מוצא, גזע או דת, מצב משפחתי, נטייה מינית, זהות מגדרית... יחד כמובן עם ההכרה שיש נשים שחוות דיכויים כפולים ומכופלים בתרבות השלטת. אנו צועדות כי יש לנו זכות מלאה לביטחון לחופש מאלימות.   פרטים בדף האירוע בפייסבוק: https://www.facebook.com/events/536763466363949 או לפנות לפרטים ל: tsipi...@gmail.com

Women are sending us personal texts (either named or anonymous) in the format of "As a religious woman, I need the slutwalk because…" "As a fat woman, I need the slutwalk because…" "As a mother, I need slutwalk because… " whereas each text expresses the way rape culture affects each of us, either in general or in terms of any group/status/identity that we bear.  You can see the campaign album here.
