Greetings. I am a new Wxperl user and am having trouble installing
the software. I am currently running the following version of Perl:

Binary build 1202 [293621] provided by ActiveState http://www.ActiveState.com
Built Sep 6 2010 23:36:03

I used PPM to download the Wx module from http://www.wxperl.co.uk/repository
and everything appears to have installed just fine.

When I try to run a sample Wx program, I receive the following error:
Can't load 'C:/Perl/site/lib/auto/Wx/Wx.dll' for module Wx:
load_file:The specified module could not be found at C:/Perl/lib/
DynaLoader.pm line 201.
at wxperl1.plx line 4
Compilation failed in require at wxperl1.plx line 4.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at wxperl1.plx line 4.

I see the dll (C:/Perl/site/lib/auto/Wx/Wx.dll) does exist on my
machine. Any ideas as to what the issue might be?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you !!!

Hi,

There are sometimes problems combining Wx & Alien::wxWidgets from the
wxperl and Activestate repositories.

In the PPM gui, under Edit->Preferences ensure you have added the wxperl
repository (it is available in the dropdown list).

Under View->View Columns ensure that 'repo' is selected so that you can
see which repository you are selecting modules from.

Select Alien::wxWidgets from the wxperl repo for installation.
Select Wx from the wxperl repo for installation/reinstallation.

After install, you should be OK.

Regards

Mark
