Comments and PRs very welcome (note that the current authors are not
on this list, I think, tho, so comments may be best in the form of
issues for now).

Great! Thanks for working on this,

I'm very interested in helping to hack on some of this, I've built up
Go infra over the last few months, and I'm able to write out the
basics of a Debian repo in pure Go[1] (which in turn was built using a
library to read and write Debian files[2])

I'm still building libraries up, but I'd like to start hacking on this ASAP.

Thanks for pushing this up to somewhere public!
