to Bill Knapp's Restaurant Alumni
I worked for Bill Knapps from 1978 - 1980 and did just about everthing
there but manage the place, I hired in as a line cook, where I was
able to pick up shifts as overnight janitor occasionally. I originally
hired in on my 18th B-day in the Farmington Hills, Michigan location.I
became a third-person shift leader trainee and transfered to Rochester
to help open their new location.
The company was great and I still have vivid memories of the people I
worked with there. The food also like so many others made an
impression on me, and it didn't take long before I developed a passion
for food making it a carreer choice. Today I am a chef, and opperate a
catering company. I have duplicated several of the recipees for my
catering company today,
I also would love to be able to get a hold of an old menu, or uniform
from the old days, so if there is anyone who has any knowledge of that
would be possible that would be great!
