Role Summary/Purpose:
Selected candidate will work on new product introduction (NPI) and Quality Projects for surgery product.Selected candidate will work on new product introduction (NPI) and Quality Projects for surgery product.The candidate should have in-depth understanding of product development from Mechanical Engineering standpoint and should possess working knowledge on castings, weldments and machined parts.
Essential Responsibilities:
As part of new product development, selected candidate will have following responsibilities: Duties include (but are not limited to)
Design and development of high-level assemblies subsystems and components of C-Arm from concept to production.
Design of castings, sheet metal fabrication, electronic enclosures and precision machined parts.
Responsible for commitments on Quality, cost and delivery.
Responsible for DFA and DFM of all the castings, weldments and machined parts for the C-Arm.
Product testing to meet all IEC, UL and other regulatory requirements.
Understand IEC/UL 60601 EMI/EMC and Safety Requirement and perform testing before product release.
Engage in all phases of new product development: Concept development, simulation, architecture, detailed design, Prototype, Performance and Reliability testing, environmental testing, Supplier interfaces and design transfer.
Quality Goals:
As part of new product development, selected candidate will have following responsibilities: Duties include (but are not limited to)

Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.
Qualifications/Requirements:
BE/BTech in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering
4 -7 years of industrial experience in design and development and has participated in full product development life cycle.
Hands on experience in material selection / CAD tools like Pro/E.
Hands on experience in Tolerancing using GD&T (ASME14.5).
Should be able to do Manual design calculations using first principles.
Working knowledge on Basic Manufacturing processes: Machining, Sheet metal/Plastic Injection molding/Thermo forming/ RPT processes.
Experience in Functional, performance, environmental and reliability testing.
Experience on design documentation to comply with ISO and global regulatory standards.
Good networking skills to work closely with Global Engineering/Sourcing teams.
Goal oriented and excellent communication skills.
Should be able to work in diversified teams located Globally.
Experience in working with global team and must be self-motivated.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in healthcare products.
Experience in the field of embedded computing system, X-Ray Image processing and Image chain
Masters degree in Engineering.
Knowledge of FDA and ISO standards.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
Location : Bangalore
