Description
How does one reset a users setting? For example, I would like to reset a users authentication domains and have the setting inherit the authenticated domains from the group or account level. I am not looking to lock the users setting.

Just updated from 2.82 to 3.01 for Helix floor. All seems to have gone smoothly, but instructions ("Step Tres") say to restore from the backup that was created prior to the update.
Everything seems to be OK. Is this restore from backup mandatory for a reason I don't know about or haven't been able to determine?

I don't restore my presets... but I do restore my global settings to save a bunch of time. Global settings are often reset on an update which can create a lot of unexpected results. They don't just reside in the global setting area.... they are scattered throughout the unit - and I always miss one or two if I attempt to set them manually!

No, restoring your backup is not necessary but as stated above it is helpful to restore your global settings to your preferred state which, presumably, was immediately before the firmware update. You can choose to restore only the global settings if you wish.

I downloaded the update package and the firmware bin - the update went smoothly and the radios still connect and work. Mavlink to MissionPlanner working OK, although havent actually flown with it yet.

I noticed that output power and NetID reset to defaults - some people will have to watch for this if using multiple radio sets and groundstations, or if you might fly where others are in range.

You shouldnt need bootloader mode to do the firmware updates. Since they get a solid green LED you just need to experiment to find the baud rate they are using and set them back to something conventional.
Air speed has to be higher than baud.

I recently recklessly updated AS from 3.0.1 to 3.1, but project manager says 3.0.1 is the version to be worked with in our project. Is there a way to reset AS to version 3.0.1 without having to uninstall it?

Currently there is no direct way with which a downgrade can be done. I managed to do the downgrade by downloading Android Studio 3.0.1 from here and then running the installer. It will prompt whether to uninstall previous version, and when you allow and proceed, it will remove 3.1 and install 3.0.1.

On Windows 11 I went to Program Files/Android in File Explorer, right clicked on Android-Studio, deleted it, went and downloaded an older version of Android Studio from the archvies then installed it without any issues.

i also updated to Bumblebee .. just go to preferences and write "device manager" in search choose keymap and set a shortcut key for device manger click apply and ok and use the new shortcut to get the Avd menue

The TI OAD Profile has been designed to provide a simple and customizable OADprofile. In its most basic form, for both On-chipand Off-chip OAD, this profile is responsible for accepting an OADinteraction based on image header criteria, storing the image onto theflash and causing a device reset if the download is successful so thatthe downloaded application image is run by the BIM.The OAD Downloader and OAD Target perform Client role and Server rolerespectively. The TI OAD Profile consists of two services: OAD Service and OADReset Service.

All firmware images delivered via OAD are in binary format and contain an imageheader. The information in the image header is used by the OAD serviceto determine whether or not an image is acceptable for download or bythe BIM to determine which image should be loaded/executed in the main systemflash. In order to prevent this information from being calculated multiple timesall TI OAD images use a standard image header.

The cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is a means to check the integrity of an image. This must be done in two steps. First the CRC must be calculated when the imageis generated from the toolchain, this will be stored in the CRC field within theimage header.

The algorithm selected for CRC calculations is the CRC-32 algorithm, it is a32-bit CRC calculation that has a 99.9999% error detection rate inthe worst case. In addition to this CRC, all data transfers in BLE are protectedby a CRC on the link layer so the risk of an undetected data corruption is evenfurther reduced.

The Wireless Technology field in the Image Header describes what technology isused in the image to be downloaded. Multiple technologies can be selected hereif the device used supports multiple technologies. The CC2640R2F supportsBluetooth low energy only. These fields are added forfuture expansion. Bits are set to 1 by default. To select the Wireless Technologyfield, set the appropriate bit(s) to 0.

The Image Length field is the total length of the image including the length ofthe header data. image in words, where the word size is defined byEFL_OAD_ADDR_RESOLUTION and HAL_FLASH_WORD_SIZEfor On-chip and Off-chip OAD respectively. Off-chip OAD customers whoare using different external flash parts may need to modifyHAL_FLASH_WORD_SIZE to match the word size of their part. ForOn-chip OAD, the word size of the CC2640R2F is fixed.

The Program Entry Address is a pointer to the application interrupt vector tableor application program entry address. This provides flexibility so that if theprogram entry address changes between images, BIM will still be able to use thisfield to run the application.

The OAD service is responsible for accepting/rejecting an OAD interaction basedon image header criteria, storing the image in its appropriate location, andcausing a device jump to the newly downloaded user application if the downloadis successful so that the downloaded application image can be run by theBIM.

The Image Identify characteristic is used to exchange image header informationbetween OAD Downloader and target. The OAD process begins when theOAD Downloader sends the image header information of the proposed OADimage to the target. The target will determine whether or not the proposed imageshould be downloaded based on the following fields from the image header for thecandidate image.

The Get OAD block size command is used to return the active OAD block size. TheOAD block size is always set by the target (CC26xx) device based on thenegotiated MTU size. For optimal throughput, the downloader shall perform an MTUexchange and wait for the exchange to complete before issuing this command.

The OAD target will respond with notification with status and block number ofthe next requested payload block from the Control Point characteristic. The return status codes are listed in OAD Return Values. If thedownload of the entire image is complete, the OAD target device will respondwith status code OAD_DL_COMPLETE and Block number set to 0xFFFFFFFF to indicatethe download completion.

The OAD reset service is only used by on-chip OAD solutions. Itimplements a method for switching/invalidating the currently running image andresetting the device. This must occur because in on-chip solutions the currentlyrunning image cannot update itself. More information about theon-chip OAD process will be covered in the on-chip OAD chapter.Figure 88. shows an overview of the OAD reset service andits characteristics. Like the OAD service, the reset service uses the 128 bit TIbase UUID with a 16 bit short UUID of 0xFFD0.

Thanks for your help. I am able to download the server app but when I click on the server icon to run the service it says i need to install the software on the mac. I click continue, it then asks me for the Admin password. Once i enter the admin password and click ok, it thows up this error.

So I'm clear on what's happening here, is this a fresh install of OS X Server on Mavericks, or are you upgrading to Mavericks from some earlier version of OS X Server, or are you upgrading an existing OS X Server on Mavericks to the current version of Server.app?

As for getting some more details on the error here, launch Console.app from Applications > Utilities, then retry and see if there are any messages generated when you attempt to Continue within Server.app.

I have just upgraded from Lion to Mavericks on the xserve. I then had to upgrade the server app as 3.01 is the only server version that works with Maverick. It downloads perfectly. I run the server.app from Applications. It then asks me to "Set up OS X Server on this mac" Click continue. I click continue. It then says "Administrator access is required to set up OS X Server. I enter my Admin password and hit enter. The box dissapears and then that error is displayed.

By submitting a suitably crafted email address making use of Unicodecharacters, that compared equal to an existing user email when lower-cased forcomparison, an attacker could be sent a password reset token for the matchedaccount.

In order to avoid this vulnerability, password reset requests now compare thesubmitted email using the stricter, recommended algorithm for case-insensitivecomparison of two identifiers from Unicode Technical Report 36, section2.11.2(B)(2). Upon a match, the email containing the reset token will besent to the email address on record rather than the submitted address.

We have a SmartFade fader board (P/N: 7219M1200-3.0.1 RevA) in our church. I programmed all of the inputs onto a group of memories that utilize multiple inputs onto each fader. Between services, the entire board was reset/cleared somehow. First... How can that happen? Is it as simple as cutting the power to the board to reset it (power outage)? Or is there a combination of buttons that must be pressed in order to reset/clear the memories?

I have saved "a show" to an SD card. If I load that show, will that replace the memories that have been cleared? It seems to me that the SHOW will not work properly without the initial setups and saved memories. Am I wrong in that assumption?

The "Show" is all the Memories, Sequences, the Stack, and setup information like the Patch (Channels to DMX Address setup).
Saving the show is storing all that data on the SD card, just in case it gets cleared by accident, or if you needed to re-program for a different show and then re-load this one later.
