Some of you may be interested in attending a Bike Summit that Greener Oconomowoc is hosting this Sunday, April 21st, in honor of Earth Day. The schedule is included below. For more detail, see the attached News Release!

Greener Oconomowoc invites all to the free Earth Day Bike Summit at the Oconomowoc Arts Center on Sunday, April 21

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Greener Oconomowoc sponsored bike valet; Wheel & Sprocket sponsored tent with bike inspections and safety checks

11 a.m.: ProHealth Care bike helmet fitting and helmet sale

11:15 to 11:45 a.m.: "Wheel-y Good Stories" with Betsy Bromley

Noon to 12:30 p.m.: Bicycling safety demonstration by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department

1 to 2 p.m.: Building Bridges bike forum, featuring David Burch from Waukesha County, Art Ross Madison's bike-ped coordinator, Kristin Bennett the new Bike-ped planner for Milwaukee, and others.

2 to 2:30 p.m.: "One World Two Wheels: The Impact of Bicycles as Transportation, its effects on health and the environment", by Jessica Binder from the Bike Fed

2:30 to 4 p.m.: Sweepstakes prize drawings followed by the movie preview of "Pedaling a Dream". Pedaling a Dream chronicles Jeff Barrie's 4,600 mile bicycle ride across America in 2000 to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from oil drilling.
