Hello Emma

Sue-Ellen Atkinson in our office forwarded me your contact information. I am collaborating with Caltrain on the outreach in San Mateo regarding the temporary Hillsdale Station Closure coming up in December.

One of the first outreach efforts is its Virtual Town Hall meeting on July 31 at noon. We hope your members can register and interact to get the general overview of the station closure.

Following that, I would be pleased to coordinate a community meeting for local members who commute on bike and would like bike-specific details as they prepare for the temporary closure.

Please let me know your advice moving forward to facilitate that.

Temporary Hillsdale Station Closure

Virtual Town Hall

Dear Caltrain Neighbor,

You are invited to a Virtual Town Hall to learn about the temporary closure of the Caltrain Hillsdale Station. As San Mateo’s 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project progresses toward its goals to improve safety, and reduce traffic congestion and train horn noise, the Caltrain Hillsdale Station will temporarily close for up to six months starting in December 2019. This will allow Caltrain to continue to serve 63,000 daily passengers while the tracks transition from ground-level to elevated tracks; a east-west connection at 28th Avenue is created; and a new Hillsdale Station with updated amenities and landscaping is built.

Caltrain is holding a virtual town hall to provide the most current information on the temporary closure.

July 31, 2019

12:00 to 1:00 p.m

This event is entirely online.

About the 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project

Caltrain is working closely with the City of San Mateo to deliver this important safety project. When complete, the tracks will be separate from the road at 25th Avenue reducing horn noise and improving traffic flow; there will be two new east-west connections at 28th Avenue and 31st Avenues; and a new Hillsdale Station with updated amenities will better serve the community.

How to Stay Informed

For more information on the project or to sign-up for the weekly construction notice, visit www.caltrain.com/25thGS. For questions about the project, please call the Caltrain Customer Service at 800.660.4287 or email SMGra...@caltrain.com.
