The City is seeking feedback about the existing bike share pilot and options for future e-scooter pilots through an online survey.

Bike Share + E-scooter Online Survey

Bike share and electric scooter (e-scooter) programs provide users with short-term access to bikes and e-scooters on an as-needed basis. The City is seeking your feedback on bike share programs and a potential e-scooter program in San Mateo through an online survey. Your feedback will be shared with City commissioners and council members who will evaluate options for next steps later this year. Take our online survey now!

Thanks,

Sue-Ellen

San Mateo Scooter policy update: there is now a schedule for next steps on possible scooter legalization.

Staff will present the survey results and permit program recommendations to the Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission for their feedback at the March 13, 2019 Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission meeting and will provide a recommendation to City Council in May 2019.

This Monday night, the temporary scooter ban is proposed to be extended for 90 days beyond Feb 19, to allow time for staff to craft a draft policy and get feedback: https://cosm.legistar.com/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3850088&GUID=46E01585-C7EE-48C9-94B3-394B4A375B0D&FullText=1
