I live and ride my bike in Belmont. Old County Road is the primary north/south road for cycling through Belmont.

The road quality is not very good, as you are probably aware. Belmont now has more money for upgrading the road quality, but Old County Road is not scheduled to get an update until 2022. Diane Bailey and I wrote to the city staff, and they said they're waiting for Mid Peninsula Water to replace a water main from Marine View Avenue to Bragato Road before doing street improvements, which are currently scheduled for 2020. The entire street needs to be reconstructed, hence the wait, there's no point digging it up now.

Can you write to Mid Peninsula Water and ask them to move up the water main replacement on Old County Road in Belmont? The case is that the road quality is bad and replacing the water main would allow better transit through that area, and encourage more cycling.
