Robert,
Find the owner of the shopping center and ask that person to install if the
rack is donated. I own a small shopping center on Bandera Road, and I'd
sure be willing to do that. Bill Rowe

I know when I talked to the Quarry about the fact there was only one bike
rack in the entire area: it was the leasing agency with responsibility to
ok them, determine placement and put them in.

Just as an fyi

I have two goals for the businesses. First I would like to drive
attendance at the workshop. Second I would like to have the businesses
install bike racks so that bikes have someplace to park once the trail
is built other than locking up to the Handicap Parking signs. When
contacting the businesses I would like to get an attendance promise and
a signed pledge to share in the cost of installing bike racks once trail

construction begins.

My thought is to have the businesses share the cost of purchasing the
racks and the leasing organization can install them. There would be one
rack (2-3 bikes) for every three businesses or so. I am running into
difficulty in figuring out a way to collect money - Bike NW San Antonio
is not yet able to accept donations, let alone collect money from a
third party for this purpose. Does anyone have any ideas on how to set
this up? Would running it through the leasing companies make more sense
- they could simply add it to a monthly bill once trail construction begins?

Best Regards,

Robert Davidson

Isn't it possible to consider it a legitimate expense that you can write
off?
Bill and Cindy, have you installed a bike rack at your shopping center?
If you have, please give me the location. On our next map we hope to
include as many bike rack locations as possible.

Thanks

Lydia
