Attention all units:

Manatee County has an approved list of colors that can be used for the route signage to avoid it being dumped like last year. Please note the proper route signage colors:

22: Pink
50: Blue
66: Black
104: Burnt orange

I am updating the pretty map so if you already printed it, the MS Society will re-print with Manatee colors

Just my opinion, but I have to say that pink is an unfortunate choice,
for the shortest route.  Like it or not, pink is more often thought of
as a feminine color.  This opens up some males to being kidded about
doing the 'pink route', and having them choose a longer mileage they
haven't trained for, biting off more than they can handle, possibly more
SAG's therefore.  Perhaps some may turn around at Beta, giving them a 32
mile ride.  The next rest stop after Beta is 15 miles farther, on the 52.

I want to add how much I and others appreciate how much work and time
that Dana, Mike, and Brandon have put into this.  Many thanks!

Dana:  the pretty map appears to show the 52, 66, and 104 all taking
exactly the same route to Alpha, but the chart at the bottom gives the
distance for the 52 as a mile shorter (10.1 vs 11.2).

I agree that the Manatee colors are hideous but we don’t want a repeat of last year.  I revised the map with these hideous colors.  I never liked pink either.  I fixed the 52 route mileage on the table.  Thanks Rob.
