Ride the Rockies

Every so often you get one right. This is Berthoud Pass where a bunch of people got stuck in blizzard like conditions. It took them 2 hours to get them into winter park. Temp about 35. Nice day today, but tomorrow there are thunderstorms expected.
Susan and I are doing or own Ride the Rockies. We are roughing it in Aspen. Take care, Disco

Years ago, between banking jobs, I took a year off in Aspen!! It was tough but someone had to do it!!!! It's a great place to "chill".

You are bringing back fond memories!!! After 4 years in Iran during the revolution.....I told Chase Bank I was taking time off so I moved in with an old high school buddy in Aspen where he was a singing waiter at the Crystal Palace. It was a great year but the rest is censored!!!!!! Very best wishes....Nick*

Dear Dana,

Let's do it!! I recently had a shocking revelation, truly. In the last 6 months I have had a new cardiologist. Ready!!
He ran me through the usual treadmill tests, etc. Since he was a "new" doctor, I asked him if the same constraints applied to bike riding as were set by his predecesor. He gave me a blank stare. Clearly, he did not want into the details of the prior doctor's instructions but advised me that he saw no reason why I should not "actively" ride. I was dumbfounded and he was definitely not going to get into the past. I said, "Do you understand the consequences of your predecessor's guidelines were!!!" Poor guy!
Bottom line, I have begun to ride again,alone,at a moderate rate. In the past couple of months, I have gone out for 5 miles or so about 3 times a week. My current goal is to do an old loop from my house to Dicey Creek road to Rt.1 and back. I think I am in decent shape but would like to increase my distance and stamina. I would also like to hunt down my prior physician and break his legs!!! Just a thought.
It's Sunday afternoon. We will be out later this afternoon and evening but I would love to get together and ride. Your e-mail was divine intervention!!
