Fellow Cyclists:
We will meet this Thursday, 7:30 pm, at Fellini's on Commerce to talk about our presence last Saturday at the farmer's market, and our ride around Decatur.
We moved from Wednesday because of the Ride of Silence, set to honor those injured or killed while biking, and remind the public that cyclists have a legal right to ride in the roadway. It's Wednesday 6:30 pm at the Charles Allen/10th street entrance to Piedmont Park. http://www.atlantabike.org/
Two more fun things:
-- National Bike to Work Day is Friday. Free food for cyclists at a "energizing station" at Emory, downtown at Woodruff Park, and at Colony Square. Corny and I will head downtown as part of a "Bike Train" (one of many); several will ride to CDC offices as well. I will ride from Decatur (7:20 am) through Oakhurst (7:35) and Kirkwood (7:45) and then Cabbagetown (8ish) . Let me know if you want to join me. http://www.atlantabike.org/
-- Atlanta Street Alive is Sunday, 2-6 pm,. North Highland will be closed to cars so we can play on it - and walk, bike, skate, dance, unicycle, etc. Come play in the street! Website for more information: atlantastreetsalive.com
See you Thursday!
