Hi,
When are time trials and where? I head something about there being one
in Cleves. How do we register for them?

you have to be a member, but it was cheap last time I did it, a few years

A product review, of sorts.
For the last month or so I have been commuting with a pair of Keen "Austin
Pedal" shoes. Part of their "Live the Hybrid Life" scheme. I would
reccomend these to anybody. My job does not require a suit and tie; Khakis
and an Oxford or even a nice Polo shirt work fine, usually. The Keens look
nice enough, and are comfortable enough, to leave on all day. And the SPD
cleat does NOT click all the time. The other nice thing, as the weather has
started to turn, is that they do not have all the ventilation holes that
most cycling shoes have. I usually wear other shoes while working, just to
save wear and tear, but it is nice to not have to worry about it if things
get busy fast. They are really nice for running errands, I can be a bike
geek and not look like one all the time!

I know some people are happy with flat platform pedals, and gymmers or dress
shoes. I like being hooked on. Kind of like getting so used to seatbelts
that you feel weird without them. That and while growing up I had my foot
slip/bounce off a pedal enough times that I don't EVER want to fall against
a top tube again!

No connection, just very happy with them. I got mine at Reser's - no
connection there, either, but they had them in stock and were very friendly
and helpful.
