I'm planning on riding the Ohio to Erie Trail next spring (From
cleveland to Cincy) and I wanted to know if anyone had advice on route
and where to stay. Like is the non trail part of the route marked or
do I need good maps. Is there a good GPS option to use while doing
this. For lodging is there cheap hotels with in a few miles of the
trail or is it just camping. Any help will be great. You can respond
to me directly at derwo...@gmail.com since I'm sure not everyone
wants to see all the response emails. Thanks and have a good one.

I did the trail from Newotown up to Columbus this summer. In South
Charlston, you have to travel through town to get back on the trail toward
London. There are signs but you have to look carefully for them, but it's
not really difficult.
There is a nice place in Cedarville (about 65 miles N of Cinti), called
Heritage Inn and Suites I think. It is literally next to the trail, costs
about $100 with a typical free bkfst. You get a $10 discount if you are
riding the trail.

we did a similar ride on tandems a few years ago, and a friend and I did it
on singles, back to back centuries, two years ago. I would highly
Recommend the Houstonian B&B in South Charleston. You have to get off the
trail there anyway, and this is not more than a block or two off the route,
if I remember correctly. Great Hosts, great food. I think one of the
suites has a Jacuzzi if you are looking for some water therapy!

Not too expensive for the comfort AND a meal. There was a nice ice cream
shop three blocks away. Not much in the realm of dinner restaurants, but
there was a pizza shop nearby. NICE B&B
