Everyone,
As you may have seen in the e-mail earlier today from Jeff Brody, we will be offering Group Riding Skills clinics to all MS riders throughout the course of the summer. The purpose of class is to help those riders not used to riding in a group be more comfortable and ultimately more safe when riding with other cyclists. The class was designed by the League of American Bicyclist in cooperation with the MS Society and will be taught be League Certified Instructors from the area. The course is FREE and is open to all PA Dutch and City to Shore registered riders. Even seasoned vets can learn something from the class, so it’s not just for Rookie riders.
The first class is being offered in South Jersey on May 3rd. The class will last approximately 3 hours and will include mostly on-bike drills. We will be finalizing and announcing the schedule for the other classes around the Delaware Valley in a few weeks, but we wanted to let the Captains know about this first class as soon as we planned it. Please let your teammates know of this opportunity, as we are very excited to be taking this next step in keeping the City to Shore (and PA Dutch) the safest ride possible. If any of your teammates are interested in signing up for the May 3rd class, please have them contact Jeff Brody (Jeff....@PAE.NMSS.ORG) to register. If anyone would like some more details about the class, please feel free to contact me directly. Thanks.
