Bike MS Captain Group

My name is Bonnie and my boss and his family not only ride (for many years), he is also one of the team captains for the MS 150 bike tour.  I am trying to figure out the best way to help the MS 150 bike riders raise money.  I am an independent  AVON representative who is very interested in helping the MS Society raise money this coming year. I am looking for the best possibe avenue to accomplish this goal.  Would you be willing to speak with me and offer some of your ideas since this is a very large group? I do many fund raisers wherein I have a contact person who hands out the AVON brochure. I ususally give the group 2 weeks to collect orders and money.  I then have my contact person collect the same, they meet with me and I place the orders. 

Please contact me with any ideas that you may have.  I would appreciate hearing from you at your earliest convenience so that I may plan for this coming event.

I see that so far, you have one taker from the Captains Group – thanks Greg!  I think the best bet would be to open this up to all of the captains out there.  Maybe they can either assign this to their fundraising coordinator (if they have one) or someone else on the team who would be willing to be their point of contact.  They could coordinate with you to hand out the brochures and take the orders.  I’m not sure where you are located, but we do have teams/riders all over the greater Delaware Valley, so that might be a consideration.  Captains, if you are looking for a new way to raise money, this might be it!

 

The other venue you could explore is our Rookie Google Group.  As the name implies, that group is open to all first-time riders.  That group is usually bigger than the Captains group, since there are more potential members to reach.  Since it’s so far before the Tour, we haven’t even started that group up yet.  That group usually kicks in high gear around May (once we have more rookies registered for the Tour).  Why don’t you drop me a line at this address in April and we’ll add you to the Rookie Group so you can see if there is any interest there.
