Interesting article about Helmets (or lack of)

As I Look around for organized rides and races I noticed a trend that
requires that helmets be worn in order to participate. I personally
have never been much for headgear and am somewhat put off by this.
I also find it somewhat annoying when others in the cycling community
deride others for their choices. I often hear helmeted cyclists
chastise non helmeted cyclists. Do they really care about the others
welfare or as the popular pastime of talking down to those who rise
"lesser" mounts is it just anopther opportunity to feel superior?
Anyway read the article it is quite interesting to hear what the rest
of the world thinks and hear a different viewpoint in regard to
motivations for helmet use.
