Women & Trans Sundays - volunteers and support needed!

For almost 8 years Bike Pirates has been running a successful Women & Trans exclusive space every Sunday. Our participants continually express gratitude and enthusiasm for this special programming, which is unfortunately still validated in a prevailing patriarchal society.

Women & Trans Sundays needs an influx of volunteers to continue operating this year! We are about to be limited to *one* of our current key-holders, and we need other volunteers to take on this responsibility. We also need more support/drop in volunteers, as is it especially important to have extra bodies at the FRONT of the shop to greet and process folks walking into the space.

If you are a female- or trans-identified volunteer, please consider spending some time in Pirates on Sundays!

Or if you have been thinking about volunteering, now is a great time to plug in! We need your support to give participants the best possible experience.

Talk to a Sunday volunteer, attend our monthly Volunteer Meeting (Wednesday July 29), or sign up in our Volunteer Schedule at the front desk.

Also if anyone is planning/interested in volunteering regularly on Sundays it would be helpful to join the Sunday list serve (see above). It is not used very often, just for messages like this one, if we have a closure or to announce workshops/meetings.

It may be useful to help arrange the staffing and keyholding for the next few months.
