Hello Pirates,

I am wondering if I might be able to rely on the Bike Pirate's mailing list for a research project on cycling behaviour that I am working on at UofT as part of my Master's degree.

I am currently recruiting 3-5 people who have been cycling regularly for less than two years as focus group participants. I have included my approved recruitment message below for your information and perusal.

Would it be possible to have this included in the next newsletter being sent out?

Please let me know if this would be possible, and of course if you have any questions about the project, I would be happy to answer them.

If you would like me to attend an upcoming Pirates meeting, send the date and I will be happy to attend.

Best

Recruitment call-out for research on cycling!

Hi there, this is a call-out from Toby Bowers. You might know me from my work with Bikechain, BikeSauce, Cycle Toronto or from just around town.

Through OISE at UofT, I am conducting a research study of the barriers faced by cyclists in Toronto.

Presently, I am looking for people who have been cycling regularly for less than two years for a focus group on problems and solutions common to cycling as a mode of transportation. The aim of the study is to help in the design and implementation of cycling promotion programs, specifically within Toronto.

I will also be providing refreshments and light snacks.

For more information, contact toby....@mail.utoronto.ca with the subject line “cycling study”.

Thanks!
