Hi Pirates,
Liz Sutherland is the Cycle Toronto Ward 18 captain and she's looking, by way of Ward 14 captain Laura Pin, for volunteers to participate in this transportation survey along Queen St W from Dufferin to Roncesvalles. I thought I'd pass it along so those interested can help out & get the required training in mid-September.

Hi folks,
You'll recall that West Queen West is a priority for our ward group. Well, take a look at the note below!

Our Ward 14 neighbours are embarking on a study that will help us get the data we need to push for bike lanes on Queen from Roncy to Dufferin. And they need your help with data collection!

Please contact surveyp...@gmail.com directly to volunteer.

Happy cycling,
Liz S

Hi Captains,

Ward 14 is planning on conducting a transportation survey of Parkdale in Sept. similar to the TCAT study of Bloor West Village  and we need your help!

Our ability to conduct the study is contingent on successful volunteer recruitment. If you are available to help out, or could pass on the blurb below to your networks of ward advocates, that would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Laura

Volunteers Needed for a Transportation Survey in Parkdale

We dream of seeing bike lanes right through the heart of Parkdale! In order to make this happen, we'll need to reach out to the different stakeholders, and present a solid case in support of idea. Solid cases often rest on sound research, and this is why we need your help:

Cycle Toronto Ward 14, as well as other policy and research minded groups around the city are looking for volunteers to help with a transportation study on Queen Street between Dufferin and Roncesvalles. This is an opportunity to learn more about the role of different transportation options in and around the neighbourhood. We're providing volunteers with training in data collection for a transportation survey, qualitative research methods, and the opportunity to get involved with some amazingly dedicated people that want to make Queen Street even more dynamic.

We're asking that volunteers commit to  90 minute training session on Wednesday Sept. 16th  or Thursday Sept. 17th and at least two data collection shifts between Tuesday  September 22nd and Saturday October 3rd. To volunteer, or for more information, please contact us at surveyp...@gmail.com
