Wanted to buy: bicycle roof racks....

Hello All:

I was wondering if anyone here might have some roof racks for bikes, the 'long rail' kind that attach to your cars factory rack crossbars ?  (Thule, etc)

Love to hear any opinions about the Pros / Cons of carrying bikes on the roof. 

Our newly acquired Taurus / Sable has a factory rack, and its moderate height seems to make roof carrying a nice option.

Pros:  Bikes are out of the way and there is a lot more room in the car.  No damage to bikes if you are rear ended.

Cons: Poorer gas mileage, garages, and low underpasses.
