Hello friends and family,
[I am sorry for the mass email, but this is extremely important to me.]
I do not like asking for money, but this is not for me... this September I'm participating in Tour DaVita, a 250+ mile bicycle ride through South Carolina, to raise funds for DaVita's Kidney TRUST™, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides no-cost kidney health screening to the public in non-medical settings. Early stages of kidney disease have almost no symptoms, so these screenings can alert people with impaired kidney function while they can still take action. At early stages, kidney disease can be slowed or stopped altogether – preventing, or at least delaying, the need for dialysis. The Kidney TRUST is the only organization in America that provides free kidney screenings with immediate results. (Yes I copied and pasted most of that from the website.) 
My message to you is urgent because I CANNOT DO THE TOUR UNLESS I RAISE 50% OF THE TARGET GOAL ($750) WITHIN 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY. I was not aware of this until today, and I am severely behind in my fundraising. PLEASE, if you are able to donate anything, $25, $50, $100 or more, please do so as soon as you can. This is both an important challenge for me, and an opportunity to do something for the greater good.
