Did you know that the Institute of Canadian Citizenship offers a free Cultural Pass for new Canadian citizens? If you are 18 and older and have received your citizenship within the past year, you can apply for a Cultural Pass. With the Cultural Pass, you can access many museums for free across Canada, as well as get 50% off VIA Rail tickets.

More information on how to register is online here: http://www.icc-icc.ca/en/cap/. If the website doesn’t answer your questions, please contact CAP C...@icc-icc.ca or call them at 1-888-359-6998 from 10am to 4pm EST Monday to Friday.

Local places that you can access for free with this pass include: The Museum, Waterloo Region Museum, and Homer Watson Gallery, among others.

More information on how you can use the Cultural Pass for VIA Rail is here: http://www.viarail.ca/en/new-canadian-citizen
