Hi everyone,
I want to invite you to a concert I'm playing on this Saturday night (December 3) at 8pm (that's tomorrow for me, but you might see this on Saturday). It's in The Baroque Room (275 East 4th Street) in downtown Saint Paul (corner of 4th and Wall). The concert is free - you can go to
www.thebaroqueroom.com for details.
For the last 2.5 months I've been studying baroque violin independently in Belgium and the Netherlands with some of the best teachers in the world. It's been pretty amazing and I've learned a lot. A fantastic competition winning harpsichordist named Nadja Lesaulnier is visiting from Europe and is playing with me on the concert. I'm playing two French pieces, one by Senaille and one by F. Couperin and a Bach sonata. Nadja will also be playing two solos: a set of pieces by Rameau and Bach's 3rd English Suite. I actually think the programming for the concert is pretty nice - I'm happy about the choices :).
This concert is a homecoming concert of sorts and I'd love to see you there. I had a great time in Europe, but I am really happy to be home and look forward to seeing you at some point soon, if not on Saturday. I missed our cooking dinner last year and hopefully we can make up for that...
best,
Marc
