to BigQuery Announce
Hi all,
I'm happy to announce the availability of a new command-line tool
(called 'bq') for BigQuery, which is compatible with version 2 of the
BigQuery API. The tool is written in Python, and includes a Python
library built on top of the google-api-python-client (http://
code.google.com/p/google-api-python-client/) that should be useful for
anyone looking to build tools to call the BigQuery API from Python.

The code is being hosted here: http://code.google.com/p/google-bigquery-tools/
This repository will also soon be home to other tools and libraries
related to BigQuery.
Installation instructions can be found here:
http://code.google.com/p/google-bigquery-tools/source/browse/bq/README.txt

We have a "Getting Started with the BigQuery CLI" guide, which can be
found on the wiki:
http://code.google.com/p/google-bigquery-tools/wiki/GettingStartedwithBigQueryViaTheCommandLine

This requires Python 2.6.5 or newer, and should work on Windows, Mac,
and Linux. Feel free to let us know if you have any trouble!
Also, please make sure to join bigquery-announce (https://
groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/bigquery-announce) for future
announcements.
