Hello,

This morning we released an updated version of the 'bq' command line client to BigQuery, version 2.0.2

Version 2.0.2 includes a new option to ignore a user-specified number of bad data rows during import (--max_bad_records).  This can be helpful if your data errors are infrequent and you can either live without the skipped rows or you can reprocess them later.

For more information about using --max_bad_records, please see the CLI tool docs and our article on ingestion best practices.

In addition, there were several bug fixes:
  • Fixed a bug where bq would fail on projects with startTime but no endTime when listing or showing jobs in a project.
  • Fixed a bug in pathnames for direct uploads (bq will now correctly use relative paths).
  • Fixed a bug in project_id parsing
Regards,

/Rufus
